                                         I'm Ashley Bacon, yes like the breakfast food.

Ian and I have been married nearly 3 years. We date and cuddle and bicker but we're best friends. We also have an adorable daughter, Aubrie Lilian. She was born December 28th 2011, so cute baby alert! You will see a slew of photographs as I capture the priceless moments of her growth. 

We recently bought our first house, it's a small charmer, and a fixer-upper. I’ve loved turning it into a my comfy little nest. Next to mention but first to remember, I'm a child of God. I live by His grace and for His glory. I enjoy doctrine, theology, worship via singing (which I am terrible at may I add), Biblical community and prayer. I pray that through the Holy Spirit, out of my heart would flow rivers of living water, namely, Jesus (John 7:38). Hence - Rush River Rush. An old favorite song of mine by Enter The Worship Circle and a prayer that the holiness of God would rush over me like a river.

We live in south-eastern Michigan, a community called Downriver, some bag on it but I'm a fan. Since Aubrie was born I've throughly adored being a domestic mama. I find a thrill in an organized closet, food ready(ish) when Ian comes home, spending my days caring for Aubi, being victorious over the laundry monster and making crafty things for my family and home. This blog is a documentation of such type things - I think? I'm new at this and hope you stick with me, read along and show some love.
